Photographer’s Notes
I was shooting for the Landmark challenge and for a change had several entry-worthy photos. My next best was a well known Seattle landmark with an interesting history but would be largely unrecognized outside the US Pacific Northwest.

I wanted something folks would recognize but didn’t want the classic postcard shot from Kerry Park. I was hoping for something both recognizable and different. At the Seattle Center, there was a new sculpture so I shot upward through it to produce this (hopefully) whimsical view o the Space Needle – which is 50 years old this year – about as old as anything around here.

Have fun with this take on an iconic Seattle landmark.

consider sizing to 600 max on vertical side so that it all fits on the screen without scrolling
