 Just like always the best lightning happened either just prior to the shutter opening or just after the shutter closed but it was quite a show.

Outtake, like this photo better but it does not display well at this size.

Thanks, Mary, I totally agree with the dust spot issue, I grabbed the wrong file when I uploaded and put in the in the file that had not been cleaned up. Probably cost me a little in voting but still happy with the results.

Great capture! Used to live in Dallas where this would happen quite often, they are hard to catch! You could crop out the city below and this would still be a great photo.

Yikes! Serious storm. The lightning looks sharp enough to be cutting the sky to pieces.

I hate to say it, but I see dust spots (or maybe water drops). I would've cleaned those up. Still an awesome image.
