 When we hear the word "Tuscany", we immediately think of beautiful rolling hills, cypress trees, sunflowers, hill towns, wine, villas, the sun, art, etc. However to the surprise of some, Tuscany meets the water on the western side too (Tyrrhenian Sea/Ligurian Sea). The town of Livorno is an example of that. This area of Livorno is called "Terrazza Mascagni" or in English "The Mascagni Terrace". It's a nice and open area with a beautiful checkered-pavement where people come for a jog, a nice stroll, or even ride their bikes. This is one of the fun moments that I saw and captured at the Terrazza Mascagni, a fully candid shot which to me spoke "Loyalty". A dog always following his/her owner and remaining loyal to him/her.

Congratulations on 6th place. This is a fantastic piece. The pattern in the paving is a marvelous ground for the boy and the the whimsical flying dog.

Correct. Poor choice of words by me. I guess I meant to say that Tuscany not only has all the things that it is known for but also meets the water too. Thanks for hanging this in your art gallery! :)

The strong, almost dizzying, repeating patterns of the tiles and light cutting through the railing set the stage for the wonderful street shot. Brilliantly seen, captured, and processed. Superb!

Not voting right now but really like this shot. Great lines, choice of lens is perfect. Would have been good without the subject's but the kid and even more so the dog (in a perfect stride) make it a fantastic shot. Can't wait to hear the shooting details on this.
