Is the video on the 5D Mark II really that good?? :)

That is cool. I wonder if Nikon will update the D700 to shoot quality video.

I'm a still photographer, and probably always will be, but the video quality of the 5D Mark II really caught my attention. When I first got the camera I popped on a 50mm lens and shot some video of my son-in-law sitting in early evening light as we were talking about my new toy. The shallow depth of field immediately caught my attention and then I started to notice the quality of the light in more subtle areas like the shadows. I couldn't articulate the difference at first, but I would say that it left the feeling of a movie shot on film rather than something shot on video. This isn't a canon vs nikon thing, it's just the noticeable difference that comes from a full frame 35mm sensor and higher end lenses that have a big enough aperture to create a shallow depth of field.

Definitely will make sure I watch that episode... I like the show anyhow, so it won't be torture ;-)
Looking forward to see how it affects the look and feel of the show.

I've got my DVR set to series recording, however, the only reason that I will continue to watch is because of how the last episode was filmed. I am sooooooo disappointed with the last two episodes. It seems like this series has really gone downhill lately. I wish they could do as well as they did in the beginning.

Does anybody else think that the show has gone sour?
