I really did LOL at this! My brother-in-law shoots and drives, but granted he doesn't actually look through the view finder at the same time. I think ;)

I used to love driving around and snapping here and there and then coming home and seeing what I got. It's like sorting your Halloween candy. :-)

From my desc: "This was taken on Lake Powell while I was driving a speedboat at 50mph trying to get back to the marina that was still 30miles away before the sun completely went down..."

I like the idea. Some of the best views I've seen have been while I am driving up a ramp and can't stop.

WHaaaat? That's 99% of every vacation photo I've got!! My hubby slows down to 60 when I want to shoot something.
Will have to dig some out, lol.

Two stories, same day, one I'm probably a bad person for..

So, I had my lovely lady driving us up to Albuquerque, and I put my el-cheapo 80-200 Canon glass on the 50D and set about trying to take pictures of the opposing traffic drivers faces @ 200mm @ a combined ~150mph.. Quite a challenge, and I was having quite a bit of fun with it... Then..

This woman cuts us off, just horribly, then proceeds to drive like Sh*t for a while, further adding insult. So.. :) Bad person I am, I have her drive up next to the offending driver and I set the 50D to auto mode (it uses that HORRIBLE red eye reduction multi-strobing flash...), and I pop-up my flash and take a picture..

I should have taken another but she was looking at me with a really dumb look, I was afraid another one would blind her and make her crash.

Bad person.. I know. Fun though! And it did feel really nice to annoy her back.. Oh, here's her portrait @ 75MPH.

I have tons of these ... the latest is this two-frame panoramiac of the snow on Mt. Diablo: and my very first two entries:

Some others ...

These were shot from a bus

and from a moving train ...

and a plane ...

My gallery at pBase.

If you like this stuff check out the Windscreen Photo Gallery -- nothing but pictures shot from cars ...

similar to rinac's :)
here are some more with the same technique. Pick out an object and track it as you drive by. Right as you are passing by snap the shutter as you pan the camera backwards. I used a shutter around 1/8 of a second.

And one of my favorites, I have it blown up to 20x30 on canvas!

My highest scoring picture on DPC was taking while driving, well I was a passenger.

Yea, good idea for a challenge although i don't have a car anymore. Bus or train would work equally well of course.

I did a few images as a passenger last year that i am pleased with...
