Personally, anyone that LEAVES because of this probably needed a little R&R anyway. Screw the head back on straight.
It's confusing, certainly. It's maddening, surely. It's frustrating for those involved, obviously.

What it ISN'T is the end of the world doomsday that people are, sadly, crying for or about or whatever. It's just a hiccup.

This site has been filling up with people that have been growing ever broadening delusions of grandeur and senses of self-importance for some time now. Perhaps this is just a little pin to deflate some of these egos and what-not. As I've mentioned, there's a bit of a schism here that might just, perhaps, be allowed to finally meld together over a common purpose.

Or not.

However, if one feels they have to leave, then so be it. Make it a huge deal, however, and you lose all my respect and sympathy whatsoever. For me, it just proves that said individual(s) actually have a little bit too much of that self-importance I'd mentioned. They, and the people they surround themselves with/get surrounded by.

To a man, most of us need to take a step back and take a deep breath and some of us need to take a small break and drink a few stiff ones and a very small amount of us need to discover we're not "all that" that we think we might be.

Although I doubt THAT is a very popular opinion, but I've never been popular.

And I use too many commas. What can I say? I own stock.

I've been here a while now, I kill threads and no-one knows who I am. But one thing I have learnt, don't shoot your mouth off. Leave things lie awhile, then shoot your mouth off:) Now, can I have a glass of red wine, please:)

Really good root beer can be really good. karmat: You are probably allowed ginger beer as well -- try some from Jamaica, it'll be quite different than that "lite" ginger ale we usually get here. Or, if you like the stuff, I have a recipe somewhere ...

I'll tip a nice Kentucky bourbon on ice and stick around for a while, if you don't mind. My photography hasn't improved nearly enough yet. I still need the pain and frustration and disappointment to put flavor to my otherwise dull work.

I've been on vacation for close to two hours now and my downstairs neighbour is being evicted tomorrow which means I am going to sleep a whole night's sleep for the first time in over 8 months! I'll take a shooter of whatever you have on hand Juliett, just keep the bottle close by please.

I just walked over to my fridge and popped a brew, let the party begin.

Cheers to you and whoever has a drink on hand or should I say in hand. :D

Ahhh Stella tastes goooood. mmmm

I have a sore throat -- I have to avoid alcohol for a few days. Isn't offering suggestions/recipes for you all to enjoy vicariously good enough?

I hadn't decided if I was staying or going, but I guess if there's IBC, I'll stay.
