I really love this picture, but for some reason I think it may be too dark. What do you think?

ummmm ...the darkness is just right but the shape of the window looks too much like a uumm, you know.

methinks that "shape" you captured is intentional :)

if you think it's too dark, a little shadow/highlight tweaking in PS can help fix that :)

The exposure seems spot-on, retaining enough shadow detail without losing the highlight detail through the 'window'.
However, apart from the suggestive shape of your opening here(!), I think the photo lacks an interesting view out of the turret, and the texture of the turret itself seems a bit bland. There are so many interesting turrets in castles all over the place with great views, that I think you can do much better. This is a good exposure experiment though.

Simbol of fertility.

To dark? Not sure. You dont see much detales of the dark area but maybe thats ok.

Well since I am new and may not know a lot.
But if it was brighter..you could see whole cut opening of the window.
Since you can not see all of it. Looks fine darker.
