Hi everyone ..

I have been having problems finding my photographic groove lately so a friend signed me a project. I was given 12 words to interpret and I tried to select different ways to show my understanding of them both through shooting and post processing.

Now.. Part of this was to get me out there with my camera to start shooting again but the other part is to better my self as a photographer.

I would be so thankful if some of you would take time out of your days, look though this collection ,critique and judge my work.. and please don't feel shy about being harsh :)

Thank you all so much.. and hopefully I'll be seeing more of you from now on :)

I just briefly glanced through it and you have some pretty nice stuff. I will go back when I have more time to really have a good look. My only question right now is why did you use two maternity photos? You have 10 unique shots for the words then you used two very similar shots for 2 different words.

Thanks a lot :)

About the maternity shots, I had another shot lined up for Life, but when editing I found out I really didn't like it so I used another form the same shoot as before. Would have shot the life one again but this was done under a time frame so I didn't have the opportunity..

1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 are my favorites!
I love the abstraction (I had to do a double take on "Life") and the simpleness of those photos. They all share wonderful compositions and the experimenting with borders is nice too.

I agree with Jminso in that I was pondering why you had two similar photos (Life and Beauty). I was too late! I just saw your explanation after I submitted my post.

The others (4, 5, 7, 8, 11, and 12) seem to have more of a "snapshotty" (heh..like that word?) feel and rely more on the titles to get the feeling of the photo across.

What a great idea, though! Such a good way to get the juices flowing and to get your mind to think about things differently. Are you going to do another set?

I might do another im not quite sure yet.. it's fun, but it is awful hard to keep up with having your camera around all day everyday and then publishing the out come :) But I do recommend it for everyone that feels they have lost the connection with there camera!! 100% good practice.

This is a great idea! I am always looking for ways to challenge myself and this will get me up and moving... keeping my eye out for things.

Your pictures are wonderful interpretations of the chosen words. Your style is smooth and I like it.

Thanks for sharing this stuff with us!
