March "whatever you want" "Pick your own" Side Challenge

Post your pics here

How about if we have an open challenge. Everyone sets for themselves their goals,

User Name..............Subject.....................Commitment

WriteHeart......black & white and maybe some purple...............4 pics per week/16 total for month

ScooterMcNutty..flowers/nature..............

Kelli...........whatever....................

MelonMusketeer..where I live................

Kimmymac........whatever....................

bvy.............Images I'd Like People To Comment On........Varied depending on the weather :-)

i know this may sound really lame and not exciting, but what about flowers? or things outside? things made by nature?

Doesn't look like too many are up for a March Side Challenge. How about if we have an open challenge. Everyone sets for themselves their goals, and we list that on the first page...for example:

Username...subject to be photographed...number of photos per week/month

writeheart...Black and White...3 pictures per week (total of 12)

How does that sound to everyone? What's your goal for March?

I might be up for a "whatever" side challenge. I can't seem to make myself focus on just one thing. Actually I haven't found much lately to take at all. Boring, cold, snowy winter has kept me in the house. They're calling for another winter storm here Thursday night. The next semi nice day (after there's no more snow on the ground) I'm heading for the zoo.

I might be in on this if I can post things that I shoot in my ordinary routine to work and back, and whatever I find in my time off. In other words, my standard "where I live" camera fodder.
I like S C's because it helps keep me interested in shooting daily, and I enjoy visiting with my DPC friends that way.

I have never been in a side challenge so could you explain how it works! I don't know anything about them!
I would like to give it a try & maybe it would help me get better!!

Side Challenges are great! Typically everyone shoots the same topic, but that didn't seem to work this time so you can either choose your own topic or jump on and share someone elses. Anything goes. I have seen water, barns, crayons, blue, birds, etc, pick whatever will make you want to take pictures.

On March 1st I will start a new thread just for posting the pictures. We comment on each others pics and by the end of the month have a nice themed collection.

Unfortunately, I hardly ever finish the whole month, but since I am not trying for a picture a day, I think I will be able to do it!! I just have to start taking pictures again, it's been so long I can't even remember how to use my camera.

cgino is doing a March side challenge of weird toy/robot thingies or something like that. Anyway, looks like a lot of fun. Interested in pausing the open side challenge and jumping on board with cgino? I'm game either way. I just need to do something with my camera again.

Okay, I'll join. My theme will be "Images I'd Like People To Comment On." And who says I have trouble making up my mind...

I'll commit to one photo a week. Maybe two. Three if the weather's nice...

sorry to take so long to respond, worked all day today.

So, I will start a new forum just for the pictures and will place a link in the original message here. On March 1st just go to the new forum and start posting pictures. The whole thread will just be the pictures and comments regarding each picture are posted under the pictures in the various profiles.

Don't know if that makes sense,, it was a super long, super busy day at work and I think my brain is fried.

Let me know if you have any more questions (which is understandable with my chaotic post).

I would like to throw in my piss poor attempts at what is called Fine Art, though I doubt will ever be considered fine, and only scoffingly referred to art. My intention take the inspiration from the likes of

cutout,

zeuszen, and

clive_patric_nolan, add the spice of a few TS friends, shake, and see if I can find a style I can call my own.

I'm in for the PAW for my abandoned stuff, but if I could just sort of randomly submit, both recent and past pet pics, I think it'd force me to update my port for my furry children.

o.k., I HAVE to do this. My challenge is still "anything goes" - mostly pet shots because that is what I'm working on right now - some wildlife - and nature-related themes.
