What's your list of stock photo sites you use? From the big earners down to the pennies (listing them in that order is appreciated but not required). I want to see how much each list varies :)

Shutterstock has always been the most consistent for me, though I don't have a huge number posted there.

I'm also signed up with Fotolia (occasional sale) and iStockPhoto, but haven't kept up with them too much -- just don't have the time or results to post consistently.

I've also tried signing up with a couple of other sites, but I think they went out of business (not my fault!) ... :-(

How many photos do you have up overall, GeneralE?

I just posted a bunch of abstracts/backgrounds, but before that I was sitting at about 150 pictures for a while, which would yield $5-10/month (plus I also get a few dollars in referral commissions). A lot of mine are not super-duper traditional stock-type shots, and are all taken with non-dSLR cameras, so I suspect my sales are lower than someone with the same number of better photos. Shutterstock's subscription pricing model encourages more downloads than most other sites. You can see my Shutterstock gallery here.

With your camera, you should also consider "macro-stock" sites such as Alamy, Getty, and Corbis -- my camera doesn't "qualify" for those ... fewer downloads but way bigger payoffs if you do sell anything.

For me:

Shutterstock
Dreamstime
Fotolia
iStockPhoto
BigStock
123RF
Veer Marketplace
yayMicro

DepositPhotos is a new one which pays $0.20 for uploading which makes it worth your time to upload but sales are still slow as they are a new site.

Uhhh this is going to be a long list for me. Here is my list of agencies that I have images with. This list is sorted by January 2010 income with the best performing agency on top:

Depositphotos
Shutterstock
Cutcaster
Fotolia
Can Stock Photo
Veer Marketplace
Dreamstime
123RF
Big Stock Photo
Graphic Leftovers (they also take some photos)
iStockphoto
Crestock
The 3D Studio
Scandinavian Stock Photo
ClipDealer
Zoonar
ClipArtOf (If you sign up, please tell them that "hlehnerer" referred you.)
Snapixel
photocase
YAY Micro
Featurepics
Most Photos
Vivozoom
Alamy
FotoMind
The Photo Storage
Micro Stock Photo
PhotoSociety
PantherMedia
Stock Photo Media
Image Vortex
ClusterShot

Usually Shutterstock is my best agency, but Depositphotos will continue to be close to the top because of its very good affiliate / referral program. Cutcaster is up because of two EL's last month.

Here is a link to my sales statistics //photoinfos.blogspot.com/search/label/sales%20statistic that shows a little the development over time.

The agencies Featurepics to ClusterShot are for me in the moment very low to none earners.

Oboy your list is amazing!! I'll be using your links for the sites I haven't went to that apply to me :)

Has any one dealt with Canstockphoto? I found their link on isyndica's site and signed up however was rejected. Wondered if they tend to be stingier.

I don't remember if I was accepted the first time. But they have changed owner (I think last year) They are now owned by Fotosearch. Sales are a little up for me after Fotosearch bought them, because you get from time to time these $19.80 sales through Fotosearch. Once you are in, then they are not to bad with the rejections. Defiantly a agency to keep trying.

Thanks, Oboy! I didn't know if they were just a tad harder to get into, but they also said it's because they had too many of two out of three pictures I put in (they were animals) so I'm sure that affected getting in as well. Thankfully they only have a week wait until you can try again which is nicer than some others. I'll definitely keep trying that's for sure!

if you go to microstockgroup.com and look on the right side of the page, you will see a list of about 30+ sites in order from best -> worst ranked by microstockgroup members.

Canstock has OK sales but if you are looking to add sites I would stick to the big 6 then add sites as you have time.

Thanks leaf!! I use Isyndica so it doesn't take me to long to upload photos, keyword them, and syndicate them to other websites thankfully so I'm not too worried about my focus, but do appreciate knowing if I don't have the time it's to focus on the top 6 and to see the forums where they break a lot down more. Thanks a ton!

My favorite photo site is no other than kozzi.com. I love it because of their huge stock photo libraries . They also often upload fresh photos everyday that makes it the best since I usually need fresh photos for my blog too. :) :)
