that was hard. got 9 of 10 though. missed the golf ball.

I'm too bleary-eyed...I only got 5 of the 10. I did it twice and picked the wrong 5 to change, and still got 5 of 10. Oh well! :o)

I got 9 out of 10, and oddly enough, independently my wife voted *exactly* the same as me....and we haven't been together *that* long! :)

9/10. The one I didn't get right was the grass. I thought it was just a bad photo. :(

EDIT: 4/4 on the bonus round.

I missed the table one. I thought all those glares were too pretty to be real. heh.

the trick is to look for [even the slightest] noise in the pictures. CG's wouldn't have noise :)

tough, yes but some ways I tell:
repeated patterns (the nail heads)
lack of true detail... a vague feeling of form but no substance..
like the drops on the oversaturated grass LOOK drawn on.
The glasses appear well drawn but the pic has an overall "flat" look.
Finally, the silverware... the spoon especially looks like an idea instead of an object.
BTW, I stopped worrying about "artifacts" when I first saw the "Add Noise" command in Picture Publisher....

Excellent, a superior performance--ten out of ten answers were correct.

I've done a lot of CG work. The artifacts are quite evident if you know what to look for:)

I got 10 out of 10 on the first try, and got 3 out of 4 on the bonus round. I missed the pills on the bonus round. My husband does CG and I do photography, so I kinda knew what to look for! :)

Which one did you miss on the bonus? I got the same score as you. I missed the pills.

Bonus?

I've done this a couple times before actually, but I didn't remember more than one. Although, this test was one of the things that has helped me to be able to distingush between real and CGed things otherwise.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the bonus, although I had to try typing things in the address bar to get it, how did you guys?

Interesting. Didnt spend lot of time doing it but got 6/10.
