My wifes annoyance with my DPC obsession has now become deep concern. My frequent outings with camera in hand and my refusal to leave it at home, no matter what the occasion, are wearing her patience thin! I am wondering if there is such a thing as a DPC partners support group? I seem unable to convince her I am still of sound mind and body! "Help, please help!!!"

Anything to get you out of the house eh GoodTempo?

Actually, I get some comments about bringing it to work everyday, but who knows when you'll see a 10 car pile-up outside your office window?

My husband is so suportive if I forget the camera he will remind me. I think he wants to take over my hobby. He gets a big smile on his face when he get to wear the camera around his neck. lol

Like someone else said. Buy a new camera (either for her, or a new one for you and give her the other one), then get her addicted, I mean signed up. Worked at my house!!!! (Otherwise, my husband, nards656, probably would have been the founding member of DPC-SpousalSupportGroup.)

It drives my wife round the twist when I walk around with her doing a Linda Blair (i.e turning my head around 360 degrees) looking for a photo. (Well.....I might miss something, huh?) We took a stroll along the seafront the other week and I left the camera at home (a new experience; not pleasant!) and I stopped dead in my tracks when I came across a parked Harley-Davidson! One of my favourite photographic subjects. After 10 minutes of drooling I caught up with my wife who complained I might just as well have brought the camera for the amount of attention I'd given her anyway!
I see in your profile you like bikes. Take a look at my site. There's some great bikes and bikers in the albums!
Myqyl has a point, y'know. Buy her a camera. My wife has my old 2.2 Oly C990 and loves it (not a fanatic like me, though!).
Now she complains the resolution is not as great as my Fuji, that's too bad, I'm not forking out for another Fuji! Besides, she can hardly figure out how to work the Oly yet (LOL) Bless her!

How lucky are all of you to have spouses... to have someone you could (potentially) spend the rest of your life with. how beautiful is that...

Life is fully of small wonderful details. Look.

The rest of my life!!?? Crap, did I forget to read the fine print agian?? LOL, seriously though, my hubby hates the inseperable duo of my camera and I. I beg him to slow down so I can get better pics of car accidents and house fires. LOL. I am HORRIBLE. He gets SO mad. I take it into resteraunts and malls, grocery stores and gas stations. Like you said, never know when some guy on a motorcycle is going to go skidding across the pavement on his face. My favorite quote from my hubby..."Oh C'mon!!! They guy looks dead, put your Da** camera away." LOL. What a darling.

I am lucky enough to have a wife who adores my hobby. I am even hoping for some camera accessories from Santa Claus this year!

I'm lucky enough to have a husband who adores ME, and goes so far as to drive me on photo "expeditions". He loves the outings, and so far has no interest in taking up photography, but loves our road trips to find subjects, and is always pointing out possibilities for the challenge of the moment. (He's also been a subject for me on occasion!)

Believe it or not, my wonderful wife got hooked when I asked her to be the subject of a shot. Fortunately for me it ended up with a ribbon and she's been interested in the site ever since! Now she helps me come up with ideas for challenges and titles and such. It really is more fun when you have someone to share it with. She has no inclination to take them but she sure likes sharing them!
