Staples has a deal where you can get free AA or AAA batteries. It works like this:
1) Sign up for a Staples Reward card (If you don't already have one, sign up online, print the card image that has a barcode, and use it in the store).
2) Buy up to 2 16+4 packs of Duracell AA or AAA batteries. Limit of 2 per week for the refund.
3) Use your Staples Rewards card at checkout. You will pay full retail for the batteries. Staples will credit your Staples Reward account for the full retail price of the batteries.
4) Repeat once per week until December 26.
5) In January, Staples will mail your "reward" refund amount to you equaling the retail cost of what you bought, not including taxes.

Somehow I think if you need 80 160 batteries the landfills of the world would be better off if you invested in rechargeable batteries. But hey, free is free.
