Hey everyone,

So, I just did a family session last week, and the mother is now requesting Canvas prints of a few photos. I use smugmug for prints, and they offer the wrapped canvas. Has anyone ordered canvas prints from them? I never have, and I'm assuming they will be great, but if anyone has experience with it, I'd love to know your thoughts on the quality.

Also, have you ever ordered canvas prints from anywhere? I'd love to know where you got them done, how good they come out...etc. :)

Thank you!

I use Canvas on Demand Pro and love the quality of the work. The customer service is great.

Edit to add Link Canvas on Demand

I have an account with ExposureManager who uses Mpix to print I think. and I still order from COD.

thank you so much MattO! I always feel more comfortable ordering from somewhere when I know someone else who really trusts the quality. :)

Anyone else have any suggestions to add?

I'll second CoD - I've had nothing but exceptional experiences with them.

I've not used anyone else so can't compare and contrast with other places, but I haven't *needed* to use anyone else - I'm a happy CoD customer.

Good luck! :)

I'll third Canvas on Demand.

Be sure to sign up for the pro account. They will forever send you discount codes and discount cards.

I just had this photo put on canvas (20x30) through Canvas on Demand, and it looks freaking awesome. It's absolutely flawless, and the mounting frame is incredibly sturdy. I also ordered a very small (8x8) of something different and had it put into one of their floating external frames. That frame was very solid also.

If you haven't guessed by now, Canvas on Demand is the way to go. We've gotten several amazing canvases from them. If I'm not mistaken, I think they still give a big discount on your first order after they approve your pro account, something like $84 off. I'll look for the old thread.

Just to rub it in: CANVAS ON DEMAND! I have a few shots on canvas from them and they are amazing! And as was mentioned, if you sign up for a pro account, you still get that big discount. I think it basically gives you a free (or almost free) 8x10. I think you need a tax ID for the pro account but I'm not entirely sure (it has been about 3 months :) )

You don't need a tax ID unless they've changed things. Back in the day, all you needed was a website. Many (including me) just gave them our DPC profile page or DPCPrints page.

Great place, Canvas on Demand. In fact, I have to place an order tonight...there's a 30% off sale that ends tonight! But if you're a first time customer, take advantage of their intro offer, it can't be beat!

Definitely do Canvas On Demand. I have ordered 6 or 7 canvas prints and love all of them. Be sure to sign up as canvasondemand.com/pro as you will get a big discount. They have to approve you, so they ask for tax id, but you do not have to provide it (I didn't as I don't have one). When I signed up, the first one was free.... so I am now a lifetime customer.

Check to see if they still have that promotion, I know they've had it periodically since they started up.

I actually saw it advertised in Studio Photography (now defunct) and it said free canvas, so I jumped right on that and have been a customer since.

I have gotten canvas from Smugmug (Bay Photo) and thought they did a magnificent job. I've never ordered from CoD but I may have to look into it if their prices are better.
