Since reading about a Luminous Landscape workshop in Iceland I've been seriously thinking about a 7-10 day Photo tour there sometime in July 2005. Anyone interested? If there are enough of us we could probably get discounts in hotels etc...

The Icelandic DPC'ers could probably help organize such a trip.

More links
And another one

As I said elsewhere, I think this could be a great thing to do.

No problem, just let us know when you are coming an for how long you will stay.

Edit:
Would supose that june would be the best time to come. Never gets dark and less likely that it will be raining all the time than in july.

10 days sound better, definitely driving around. Now how about lodging, would camping be better/more flexible/less $$ than hotels?

Ofcourse camping is cheaper, and I think that there is more mood (or whatever ou call it) in camping, unless the weather is bad :)

I disagree with you heida. It may be warmer in July but its more change of getting rain for a whole week or to.

I'm definitely up for this, already had one good DPC trip abroad (with BAMartin in Spain), I'm sure this would be great.

I would love to go--just not sure my wife would go nor would let me go alone ;) Iceland looks like such a beautiful place.

Since I haven't yet decided on my trip destination for 2005, count me in for this one as well. Iceland sounds like an interesting and beautiful place.

I wanna come :) I'll be 18 then, so my parents wouldn't be able to stop me, hehe :) If it's gonna be camping, how do we charge up our batteries? :P

Unbelivable, and I am just planning my photo-tourist business for next summer! Maybe you can be my guinea pigs? ;)
05/28/2004 10:02:24 AM · #22
Would these guinea pigs get paid for participating? hehe

I do not plan quite that far in advance, but it would be a great destination! And well ya never know....

This sounds so cool! I've been wanting to see Iceland for a long time... I can't plan that far either, but I'm definitely interested.

anybody have a rough idea how much this would cost? I am in Oklahoma, but I have no idea how much a plane ticket would be. I would be VERY interested as long as my wife would agree to it.
