Newby here: I submitted my first pic but not sure that it was successful after seeing the message "submissions should be working again..." Question: Will I get a confirmation that it was received? Sence I didn`t get one should I send it in again?
A few days ago I learned how to do the 640X480 thing and e-mailed it in. I know that went through because Drew wrote me back and suggested I use the "submit" section. (But he didn`t yell at me or noth`en... Thanks Drew...) It`s tough being a rookie.. |

The upper left portion of your "My Home" page should contain the phrase ''Thank you for your submission."
Also at the bottom of that same column you should see your photo in thumb nail size.

My submits fail. (Canon G-2/Photo LE)
With `zoom browser` my pic shows 2272 X 1704. I go to "edit image using Adobe photo shop" and resize to 640X480. I save and then try to send but no results. I go back and look at my save and the size of my save is 560X420???
Sending a Pic must be simple... I missed that section...
I have a pic but can`t enter...

resize image in PSElements down to 640-480/ 480-640 and "save as" whatever you want to call it.you should get a window that asks you what file size you want to save it at. The answer is , as high as possible but no more than 150k. ensure you save a a jpeg. then submit. browse for your image and upload it. good luck with this ;-)

If submission still doesn't work after Dogmans advice, be sure that any Firewall-program on your computer is turned off.

Flipper--you may have to uncheck the box that says --constraints.This resizes the pix but not always to the size you want,it keeps the pix to the origional proportions. |

You may have to change the image size without the "constrain proportions" box ticked i.e your size of image may not naturally resize to 640-480. The problem with this is that your image may become distorted. another option would be to crop the image to as close 640-480 as possible then adjust in "image size". again have "constrain Proportions un-ticked. good luck
