Hey, I'm sure this has come up before, but I couldn't find a topic on it after a quick search.

Why doesn't this site allow avatars? It might sound silly, but I really like having an image to put to a name when reading posts. It helps me distinguish who is who and remember members. Otherwise the names sort of all get blurred together and I lose interest in the posts.

OR, am I complete moron and the site DOES allow avatars and its just some sort of feature that you can turn on and off, and I just haven't discovered it yet?

Thanks! :)

It's not included in the site, but smurfguy has a fix for that. Check out his DPCMods: //www.onetacoshort.com/DPCmod/

Edit to include example:

You will need to be using Firefox with the Greasemonkey extension installed. It works nicely.

But beware. Some people have pretty tasteless 'avatars'. ;-)

That reminds me ... have you reconsidered changing your username to Slippy_(NSFW)?

Works fine for me and I'm on 3.5.something. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version? Got all your latest updates for Greasemonkey?

Personally, if I worked for a company that was so anal as to have a fit-shit anytime my browser loaded a graphic with a rude gesture on it, I'd have to find a new job, because, DAMN, that would be a shitty company to work for.

I had a problem with Greasemonkey where instead of installing the script it would just open and display the text of it. Turned out to be something in my user profile causing the issue. I don't know exactly what, though. If you are seeing a similar issue, create a new user account and try it from that one.
