Create an image that defines a moment from MJs career or something that symbolises it..

How about in ebony and ivory?

that would work too. :) To be serious for a moment. I do think this is a good idea. Although he was a little bit of a freak at times. He will go down in History as one of the true greats in the entertainment world. And certainly will be missed by millions upon millions of people.

If the title of your Pic is "beat it"-- Im not looking

That would be as easy as "1, 2, 3" and as simple as "do, re, me"

Did he ever do anything with shoehorns?

You would have to ask the overnight crew about that one. ;)

Not a fan, but I can certainly appreciate the magnitude of his contributions, the pop culture that he generated, the fads/gimmicks/trends he inspired. A great loss of talent for sure.

I like understatement.

same as u, not a fan, but have lots of respect for what he contributed to the industry and pop culture. however, i dont like the idea of an MJ tribute challenge on DPC because i'm there would be some disrespectful (maybe even distasteful) entries from some.

I understand and I agree. Some of the comments on the other thread were very tasteless. However, the challenge is an interesting idea.

perhaps is just should be a Michael Jackson challenge--leave tribute out of it. That way it's not quite as offensive if someone puts something questionable in.

I'm sure your right, though it seems like a funny concern from someone with a urinal as their profile pic. :-p

No, that's a Japanese-style toilet. For squatting.

How about a Michael Jackson song title challenge only..?
06/26/2009 08:25:00 AM · #19
instead of tribute, why not a memorial challenge? I think it should be soon if it is going to happen.

To avoid offensive shots, perhaps we should have a David Carradine memorial challenge instead?

He was indeed talented and contributed much to the music scene. However, his personal life is a completely different story. Some might even call it dissrespectful, maybe even distasteful. Some perhaps worse.

It's a sad end to what was a very bright and talented individual.

OK... Now this made me laugh out loud for the second time today in less then 5 minutes.. I just love sarcasm and witty people.. for the curious, the first was this quote..

"I'm hoping that when the autopsy is done, and they realize it was actually LaToya who died, I can hear something other than Thriller on the radio."- Michelle Tuttle (my best friend in Utah who is NOT a big MJ fan)
