Oh, boy! Rustbuckets galore! I wonder if I can sneak out to a junkyard this weekend?

Timing is everything, in the past 3 weeks I've shot a Concours and another large car show.

Do we think old trucks and buses will qualify?

I would consider any personal passenger vehicle with 4 wheels. (Or a Reliant Robin). I'd think a bus would be stretching the concept a little though.

Didn't say anything about the car being in working order? A rusty wreck an old car? Hmmm?

No, I had a rustbucket Austin Mini that would not pass MOT, and a Volvo 340DL that was the best car I have ever owned. You can see it in the background here:

Don't think I have a pic of the rustbucket.

The recent sequence of challenges has really sucked for me. First I take a day or so before still life, then I take right before duotones then the GoodGuys car show, followed the next week by a locally based car show, happen just before the Old Cars challenge. ::grumble::

You just need to change the date on your camera by 1 week, lol...J/K

I think that happens to all of us. We took the perfect shot while we are out shooting for last weeks challenge.

I gave your wasp a 7, BTW.

Thanks for the vote. I was largely just bitter about the still life and specifically the duotones. Duotone was particularly aggravating because I missed with that first shot, then I had another shot I was considering but decided I might save for free study which has now possibly been usurped by another potential. Duotone is also something I naturally like, since I live in a landscape mecca and love the outdoors, as well as messing with Silver Efex. Anyway, back to the car discussion...

So, do we think pickup trucks are going to be low voted as DNMC?

Gotta check your logins before you post, Damzel :-) Or get her a PC of her own...

Either you are logged in on the wrong account, or you are a very young mother, with a smart baby who can operate a camera.

HA HA HA... one of those days.. she was just over here with me putting in a post on the Intro page on here. And then I came on this one and totally for got to change accounts. She doesn't have a PC that is hooked to her room yet so bouncing around on here. I am worried about teaching her how to post her shot.

I was in a furniture store, here in town, that had an old front engined dragster, and a 1983 Indy racer mounted on the wall. Either would make a great top-down shot. The Indy car is low enough that there are several good angles available.

Sadly we purchased elsewhere, and they know it. Not likely to get the permission to photograph in there now. And can't very well ask if I buy something will they let me... It's already been bought, and I don't need two.
