The Fujifilm DSLR, that is.

I recently made the very rash and impulsive decision to sell my D300. If you'll notice, my default camera is now set to D70, because I just ordered an IR converted one off eBay.

However, in my searches for a replacement as a "main" camera, I've decided I want a Fuji S5 Pro. But they are IMPOSSIBLE to find these days! Adorama has 1 used with a battery grip that I don't want to pay for. KEH has 1 used as well but wants too much for it ($200 more than Adorama and no grip? wtf?); B&H has nothing, neither does Craigslist, and the bidding on eBay for them is fierce as hell!

So I'm pretty much SOL in terms places to check for one of these buggers. I know they exist, but can someone list for me a few trustworthy used camera retailers that have online stores?

Or better yet, someone just sell me theirs! :P

There is one out there somewhere, but you can't have it. I want it for my next upgrade. : )

One of the things that make them so popular is that they use old or new Nikon glass. Love my S3 for that reason, and for the color, but it does not meter or shoot auto with any of the older all manual lenses that I use.

Now there are rumors that Fuji will stop making DSLR. I have heard this from a couple of different sources. nothing official. It would be sad I have had an s2 and it was a very good camera. I also used the s5 at the studio I work at

There are usually ones selling over there.

Matt

I don't know or endorse the seller, just showing you where one can be had.

I git a free email address from myway.com and it worked. You can try there and see if it is still ok.

I've heard from shop owners and those in the biz that Fuji has left the dSLR business. I'd be very wary of buying a camera that has no support - if it breaks, then what? Firmware upgrades, software support...

I don't know about you, but I don't break cameras :P

And I trust anything inside a D200 shell for a long time.

Also, you "heard," so that claim can't exactly be substantiated until Fuji says it themselves.

the best place to find the s5Pro is on keh.com. They run about $900 to $1200 or so

This thread is more than a yr old. I'm not sure it's relevant today especially since the OP lists the exact camera he was looking to buy in his profile.
