I saw the Google street view vehicle today. Pics & story on my blog:

EDIT:
So Google says this is not their van, here's link to a newspaper article about my sighting and a sighting by a friend of mine earlier this week. The journalist called me last night and did a phone interview, I let him use a couple of my pics for his blog article.

omg, I am actually on Google Street view.
Of course, I am in my Pj's gossiping with my neighbor who is in hers too. And there are a ton of kids stuff outside the house. Mine is the messiest in the street,.
I cringe every time i see it |

| Nice blog entry, Karen. I like the personal touch with the photo of the driver. I heard the google-cam was in NYC this week/month as well. |

LOL My truck was on it while I visited my Aunt. If we'd known, we'd have gone outside and waved. BTW the standard Google camera car has a mast with 6 or 8 cameras sticking up well above the car. The one you saw had to be for something else as the camera views wouldn't match up with street view. There are several other companies that shoot street images. Most of them started well before Google. I'd give my left arm to get the gig driving that vehicle. It'd be a blast. |

i waved to the Microsoft Live Local street view van a few months ago, still waiting to show up on the site (at 45th and 9th in manhattan)

Certainly doesn't look like a google streetview car - they have quite a different camera setup normally
