Actually, it would be interesting to compare this to evens. How bout one challenge is evens and one is odds? Let's see which one look better once and for all!

It all depends on the image content. In general odd numbers make an image more dynamic, however, composed correctly, an image with an even number of objects could be very dynamic as well.

presumably with odds, you can have a centered subject and then an even number surrounding.

Thanks for the links, Karen.

However, for those past "Odds" challenges, the "odds" weren't what I had in mind. They were not the compositional-related "rule of odds". Those previous challenges were described as, "Numbers, strange... find a creative way to photograph the concept of 'odd'". This is not necessarily the compositional rule. Looking at the results of the Odd II challenge, a couple of Top 10 winners had an even number of subjects. Also IMHO, this week's challenge (Unusual Objects) is very closely related to the Odd and Odd II challenges more than a "Rule of Odds" challenge would be.

I like the idea of have a true "Rule of Odds" challenge using Advanced Editing.
