Does anyone use these? Is it worth the $ ?

Cool website design and funny names, but I don't know if those actions are worth the dough. It seems like the kind of stuff you could do yourself and save as your own actions.

I don't use them. Looked at the site and more than half of the examples. I don't see a whole lot of difference between a lot of them and agree with citymars that most look fairly simple to re-create on your own.

It's actually my first time hear about that. Anyway, for me it appears to be interesting but I think it is not worth the $200 price tag.

Cheers!

They're actually pretty widely used and heavily lauded amongst professional portrait and wedding photogs. I have TRA2 which I never use because I've stopped editing with actions and it doesn't occur to me anymore. Whether or not they're worth it really depends on your style, how you edit and whether or not you like the effects they produce. You can email and they'll send you a few samples and if you google them, there are tons of reviews all over the internet.

I haven't used Topaz Adjust but judging from the overview on the site, it isn't anything like TRA.

I have to agree with mk in that TRA are highly marketed and used by pro-wedding photogs. I own a small sample set of actions and haven't played around with it enough to make any comments. I also own a few action sets from Kubota Image Tools which I used to use a bit more (//www.kubotaimagetools.com/actions.html). Now that I have learned a bit more about photoshop techniques I rely less on these action sets. If you decide to invest in either TRAs or Kubota Image Tools, do keep in mind that you'll still have to tweak the image after you apply the actions. HTH.
