I was wondering if anyone uses adobe lightroom 2. What I'm trying to find and have not been able to is if there is a way to disable "right click" menu's for the web gallery. An example would be if you make a gallery and upload it to your server. People who look at it have the option to right click and save the photo. I want to disable that all together. I would be thankful for any help on this.

I doubt whether disabling right-click is an included feature of Lr 2.x, though I could be wrong. In any case, disabling right click is not going to stop anyone who is determined to steal an image, and it does defeat other useful functionality along with the "copy" of "Save Image as" features, including bookmarking, properties, etc.

If you are really worried about theft, consider watermarking images that you post to the web, or including a copyright on the image.

Right click is browser functionality, not LR so I doubt it will ever be added to LR.

You can edit the HTML pages after they are created to disable right click if you really want to.

Also, if you use one of the gallery formats other than HTML, such as Flash or SimpleViewer I believe the right click is no longer an issue. (could be wrong though)

I use LightRoom and the web galleries and a plugin from //lightroom.theturninggate.net/ shadowbox gallery. The gallery uses Java and basically disables the ability to download. I save the gallery to a directory on my Mac and use Dreamweaver to complete the rest of the pages matching the style of the LightRoom produced pages. The only images there are thumbnails.

If your intent on doing this then just google it... You are destroying browser functionality for a lot of users and NOT stopping people copying the image but have at it..... You could play loud music & re-size the browser as well :-)
