Wow, I didn't think this one would produce much that I personally would enjoy . . . you guys outdid yourselves! There is some awesome stuff here and I am pleasantly overwhelmed!

There are some really good pictures in there, alot of variety too.

This is my second Challenge. I'm currently holding at 5.6 average in Abstract but I'm getting nailed so far with a 3.36 in Rusted. I had a feeling it wouldn't go over...(shrugs). Out of 11 votes so far, no one has commented. That's what bothers me. If you are going to vote less then a 5, why not at least give some constructive comments? How else are we supposed to improve?

I love watching the changes as time goes on. Sadly, mine always go down as time goes on, but it's still fun. I have a 5.09 now, and I am hoping to have it raised as more people see it. I personally love the colors of my photo and am happy with it. There are some fun photos in this challenge. I have enjoyed voting so far!

I thought I'd be doing better, but there are a LOT of images in the challenge to compare mine with. My image still pleases ME. I'm hovering around 5 with one comment all ready. It's nice to enter again after so long.

Same here. My picture is my personal favorite and is something that pleases me as well, even though there are a ton of shots to compare it to. It's sitting at a 5.6, about what I expected. I noticed that when my score is in this general range that it tends so stay pretty static (give or take .1 or .2 sometimes).

This is my first challenge, and I was a little worried there for a while. I was hovering around 3.6, but now I'm up to a 4.35. That's encouraging atleast.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of voters usually leave comments? I have had 18 voters so far and not one comment. hmmm.

Never enough ... my estimates are that maybe 5-10% comments-to-votes is pretty good usually. Photos between about 4.0 and 5.2 usually get the fewest comments. The best photos get the most, but the majority of those are primarily complimentary rather than constructive.

I just speed voted through the whole submission (I'm actually at work right now!!)

There are some great pictures in there which I will have to go back and refine my votes and add some comments. I'm sure my votes willchange as I look through over the week.

Am I the only one who ALWAYS thinks I'm going to do better than I actually do? I'm not complaining as my numbers are above average, just wondering who else feels this way.

I thought this shot was much better than my abstract entry, but my abstract is sitting at a 5.8 right now. Oh well, maybe next time...

i am tickled pink ....this is my first challenge and i figured i would crash and burn and be around 2 or 3 ..it rained all week and i had 6 hours before end off summission to take a few shoots

but cound not be happier with the voting thus far =)

With so many entries and so many similar subjects, marks are bound to be lower than usual overall, IMHO. Breaking into the 80% percentile will be doing very well.

I just hope it crawls above 6.

I think mine is one of the best in this challenge but the pictures I vote high almost never finish in top 50 so therefore my pictures aren´t likely to finish in top 50 either.

I guess my taste isn´t really mainstream ;)

I love to compete because of all the comments and not just for the good ones, the more comments you get means people find your pic really interesting (positive or negative) rather than just voting 5 and get right to the next one.

My score went up a tad, 3.78 from 3.36. 64 votes and still no comments. This is disappointing. I almost always leave a comment, especially if I vote less than 5. If you're voting lower than 5 there must be some reason why, so why not just take another couple of seconds to mention it? Are there people that think they are above commenting on certain entries? I want to get something out of this forum besides ranking and percentile. That part is fun but I' m more interested in feedback.

many people don't comment until after they've voted on all the photo's ... and there's just under a cazillion photo's ... so the comments probably won't come for a few days.

Welcome and Good Luck to all who have made Rusted their first challenge. The maximum and minimum votes, and the number of votes at all levels, are shown on each entry after the voting is over. The highest and lowest averages are shown on the challenge results page, again, after voting.
