Hi everyone,

My 30D used to take decent photos in AV and TV modes, but now they won't produce anything but extremely dark images. Like almost pure black, even in perfect outdoor shooting conditions. Is it possible I've changed some setting somewhere? Any advice?

Thanks!
Diane

Do you have exposure compensation pushed to the underexpose side, possibly two stops?

Ok DUH, it WAS the exposure compensation! Thankfully not the lenscap, or I'd have bigger issues. :)

Thanks guys.

Remember, in Av and Tv mode the wheel on the back is for exposure compensation. One way to avoid it is to turn off the wheel when in these modes (don't push the on switch all the way).
