I'm setting up a Coppermine photo gallery and I'm having a bit of an issue I can't seem to work around. I need to have a password protected album, but I also need that album to be visible in the albums list on the main page of the site. It appears that Coppermine won't let you have a password protected gallery visible to anyone other than an administrator and you would have to send a user a link to the gallery with a password to get them in it... Does anyone know a way to make this work differently?

Sorry, John... unless things have changed, that's one of the issues I ran into a year or so ago when I failed at an attempt to use Coppermine for an online gallery. Seemed like a great product for sharing photos back and forth, but not so well for a protected gallery. Needless to say, my gallery is still a pipe dream - I hope yours turns out better.

Sorry, I'm not using coppermine. I use Gallery2 which has far better capabilities than coppermine. See if your hosting provider has it. If not, get it here:

Gallery2

Just one thing though, if you are running on a shared platform, you may have to ask your provider to install some additional modules.

I don't think there is a workaround for that. I know all my protected gallerys don't show up, but then again I have them hidden and not protected. You could try the Coppermine forum. Lots of smart people over there.

Do you have a link to your installation of this so I could take a look?
