I have a sigma 4.5 fisheye for canon and I was wondering if in photoshop you could straighten the picture so that it would look as much like a fisheye photo. Also is this allowed in the challenges?

Thanks
Shane

moving things / distorting images is not allowed in (except in expert editing ..)

thanks. Can I crop the image down so that I wouldn't have the circle in the middle?

thanks
Shane

I think Cropping is legal in all rule sets except when they have straight from the camera challenges.

i am pretty sure the transform tool, which is what you would need to use, is allowed in advance editing, but not basic!

the relevant line being
YOU MAY... use software to correct perspective, lens defects, or minor misalignments.

I think you're asking whether you can "de-fish" the photo. For a sure answer you need a Site Council opinion, but here's my personal take:
- Cropping is allowable in either Basic or Advanced
- De-fishing (making the straight lines straight) is not allowed in either Basic or Advanced

How would I ask the site council
