I've only used this flash 2-3 times and had no problems with it until now. I've tried triggering it manually by hitting the red button but that doesn't work. I've also tried mounting it to the camera as well as using a pc sync cord to no avail. I've also swapped out several sets of good batteries with no luck. The thing powers up just fine and the lights on the back indicate it's at full power and ready to fire except it won't fire. Has anybody had a similar problem with this flash?

Yeah I saw where one person opened the thing and adjusted a wire contact inside. Perhaps I need to do that.
@ amathiasphoto I don't think it is that at least not contacts used for a hotshoe mount. I've tried manually triggering the flash which doesn't use that and it still didn't work.

sorry I wasnt more specific- clean the battery contacts, not the hot shoe one. There could be muck on there that is causing the problem. That has happened with a sb80dx I own once.
