I have an Epson 1400. When I print in black and white I get a colour cast on prints. Since I converted to a continious ink system my prints are as they should be. Even better than with the epson original inks.

I always got a colour cast with the original inks even with calibration and printer profiles etc; Now my Black & White (Greyscale) Prints are Black & White not with a colour cast.

Hope this helps

cheers

Ron

PS. My CIS is a lyson.

Google "Epson 1400 CIS" and You will find them there.
