Would this have done better in the challenge?

I know this is a little delayed but I was wondering, as I was going through my pictures, if this would have made a better submission for the March Free study than the one that I chose that is on my profile.

This is also another I took that week.

I like the cactus one the best, and I do like it better than your submission to the challenge, don't we all wish for second chances.

I don't know I kind of like the fish, your challenge entry "Island Life" is not bad just not that great either, more like a postcard, which is good too, but one of these two would have definetely been a better choice.

i prefer the fish, it has a more defined subject, and an interesting background. although i think i prefer it in black and white.
i converted to BW if you'd care to see it let me know.

the catus photo, although kind of a cool sight to see, seems a bit busy.
