FeaturePics.com with a new subscription model (read press release)

What do you think about it? I only had so far occasional sales there, but with better prices. So will this new subscription model bring sales up?

Theoretically, yeah, it could raise sales. The bulk of my earnings are from subscription sales, but now that micro stock is more or less draining macro stocks budget conscious customers, you might see less subscription sales and more on demand type sales. Shutterstock has now created an option similar to the other micro sites that lets you have a higher royalty fee, the customer has more flexibility if their image needs are small (as opposed to bulk style subscription customers), and thus they pay a lot less overall to access fewer images at raised prices.

As far as featurepics goes, I think they just don't have much market share. Thats probably the bigger issue....

I think that FeaturePics have to release more details about it. Because when reading it, it doesn't sound like a subscription sale at all. It is something between, with paying at the end of the month but per image. I hope that it will show increasing sales.
