I just saw Canon came up with a new inkjet paper they call Pro Platinum Super High Gloss. has anyone had any experience with that paper, cus i was really thinking of getting it but wasn't sure if the higher price tag of 1€ per sheet was justified over the normal high gloss/super high gloss paper...
also i'm pretty depressed that canon stopped producing (or at least selling) the 270g satin paper which i LOVED, especially for b&w prints (they still offer a 2 sided one which is kinda useless except for family photo albums imo).

anyways, what inkjet paper do you use for printing and in combination of what printer (which is quite crucial because there can be huge discrepancy's in terms of quality of the final prints of each printer/paper combination)?
i'm using a canon pixma ip5300 btw

I like Ilford smooth pearl, works great with Epson printers.

Epson 3800 and Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk.

My favorite is Epson Exhibition Fiber, bright, bold colors on an almost smooth surface. Lots of detail in the dark areas. The perfect paper for color landscapes. But the Ilford is half the price of EEF, and is very similar to EEF. The surface is a little more textured, and colors a little less saturated, though a custom profile helped the colors.

wow, 5:1 for epson so far...*green with envy for the peaps with that awesome epson 3800 large format printer*

is that illford smoth pearl paper many of you referred to similar to satin paper, like with a texture and less gloss, because i'm looking for a good satin paper like that for b&w and portraits as, like i said, canon stopped selling these in my hemisphere?
