So i went to a wedding I told you guys about 2 weeks ago, and they didn't have a photographer. So I had my camera and decided when was a better time to step up.. so i went for it no expectations, no money involved, if they sucked well they sucked if they were okay then they had some pics all on one CD they didn't have to gather from 20 different people..

so here's my question.. how do i make a proof sheet to print so that way i can take the decent ones and show them as prints, not including all the blah ones that are on the CD.. get what I'm saying?

Anytime I need a proof sheet for the editor(very rare anymore) photoshop has an automated function that does it. I just pick the photos I want on it and it makes it and I can direct print it. Otherwise you would have to resize the photos and put them all on one layer then flatten them.

whenever i've had to print something for clients who don't have computers, i've printed 4x6s with white margins, putting the image ID in the margin. i also make the left-hand margin almost 3/4" so that i can take to a local copy/print shop where they put a binder on it for me. they get a little more image to view than what they would see on a contact sheet. you can do as much or as little with something like this as you want. it costs a more than a proof sheet, but it's all relative. i once did one with nearly 100 4x6s (it was almost like a small brick) that cost me about $25, but it more than made up for itself in print sales.
