I don't think you can choose which photo to critique. The CC commenting is randomly automated.

Kavey has often given random CC's to people who ask. Since she has done this at least once or twice for me, I'm going to go do the same. (not sure I'm even a member of CC these days, but I think we are on the same page here anyways).

And thanks Kavey - good deeds do NOT go unrewarded, btw.
Give me a few to type it up and actually "do" it.

Bobster, no you can't choose which image to be assigned using the automated system but there's no problem with simply manually navigating to any image and adding an extra CC critique.

I did this often when part of CC - I did the ones I was assigned from the automated thingy (and before that, the ones assigned by John in an assignment thread) and I also did extra ones when I could, when asked.

Bobster, the CC came about as a mechanism to provide more in depth comments to as many images as possible.

I personally don't think it's a case of subverting the system to ask for extra critiques.

I gave hundreds when I was in the CC (mostly before automation but some afterwards too) and wasn't even entering so didn't receive many back.

I figured it wouldn't be out of line to ask for anyone who didn't mind and had time for an extra one to provide me with some more in depth feedback.

However, I certainly wouldn't want anyone in CC to feel obligated to respond to my request, especially if they feel happier sticking only to the automated system.
