I'm just curious if anyone else is feeling frustrated with LR2's new keyword filtering mechanism.
I get the whole flexible-filters-blah-blah-blah thing, and that actually comes in handy once in a blue moon, but (in LR1) I was REALLY used to being able to browse my entire keyword hierarchy and just click on it to filter. Now I have a keyword list (on the opposite side of the @#%@ screen), but to actually filter by them, I have to go through a convoluted series of clicks and filter-expansions. YUCK.
Does anyone share my pain, and/or has anyone found a trick to make it any easier?

I find the LR2 keywording scheme next to impossible. I must not be groking something, but, like you, I found the LR1 keyword scheme easy to use and very helpful - in fact, essential. LR2s is just too obscure for me right now. I need help too! |

cdrice hugs jemison. The first step to recovery is admitting we have a problem.
My name is Chuck, and I... I... I think Lightroom's new keywording and keyword filtering methods suck!

I don't have a problem with the keyword filtering. Just dislike the new place of the metadata filter (the one I use most) and the performance compared to LR1 (1.4.1). |

Check out Lightroom 2.1. Some fixes in the works.
I've definitely noticed the memory leak which causes LR to eventually grind to a halt. I think CS3 may suffer from leakage as well but I am usually running CS3 along side LR 2 so the culprit is probably just LR.
I don't find the keywording a problem. The new sorting filter takes a bit of getting used to but I like it better than LR 1.
