Just a snapshot taken today... couple of tweaks in LR2. Haven't had much time with it..just wanted to see what the thoughts were on it. Taken with Sony F707, (carry around camera), hand-held against the sky for background.

Thanks

The colors really pop in this image. Very fun, very young.

I'm happy that I finally posted an image that a few people like! My wife had me order an 11x14 for our little girls room, (21 months old). The baby saw the picture and just kept saying "flower" over and over...she said I had to get it.

Sheesh boy, 2/3rds of the shots in your portfolio have favourites. I wish mine did! :P

(And your baby is starting off well. When are you going to let her do your voting? ;) )

2/3rds? Don't think that was my portfolio you saw! Wish it was though. Maybe this one will get a fav from somebody later on after it gets some views. The baby and my other kids like this image as does my wife. Alot of the others get the "what were you thinking" look. lol

Is this sunflower more green than normal? Or was it intentional Truegsht? I don't get to see many sunflowers in my area, are they more green when at a young age and mature into a more yellowish colour?

Also, is your monitor calibrated? Just curious. ;]

looks yellow on both laptops and my desktop at work...I only see the green behind the petals.

looks not so true

Although a nice photo, it does seem that the colour is not perfect and true. I grew up on a farm in Namibia where sunflowers were being planted and the colour just does not seem correct.
I love the composition. Interesting and fills the frame nicely.
There is a bit of distraction at the bottom o the photo. Maybe try and clone it out? Over-all, a picture worth having printed.

that's a sunflower? I've never seen one like that. The composition and focus are good but it also looks green to me

It looks very lemony-yellow to me, not the more orangey-yellow of giant sunflowers. Personally, I love the colour, whether it's EXACTLY like the original flower or not!
It makes it more vibrant, lively and bouncy. Well, if flowers could bounce.. :)

The print is nice and yellow. No green tinting at all. Might just be the way it looks online. My monitors are calibrated with new spider...and looks yellow here too. I have no idea where everyone is seeing green. But we love the print. Just need to get it framed now.

I don't want to drag this on but I opened the file in photoshop and there is some green in there. Do it and compare your yellow with photoshop's. But like BeeCee said, whatever the colour, as long as you like it. :)
