Ok, so a lady calls me up after i placed an ad on craigslist an hour earlier and asks how big i can make a picture. I told her any size she would ever really want. Usually they dont ask for anything bigger than a 30X40, but no, she wants something around 4ft X 6ft.
Any pricing suggestions such as a model or anything like that would be good. I thought about doubling the printing cost and if she wants it framed then double that as well, just hope she will go for the price. Its fine art though what do you expect, its going to be expensive. Especially at that size.

At that size, you'll need to go with a high-end plotter or Iris (giclee) print. Try a Google search or phone book for services in your area and call for prices.

ModernAge lists a 48*72 "direct digital print" at $375.

Selling price for me that is. Im thinking that canvas is cheaper at that size than getting it framed, so canvas it is. Im thinking of about $2000 for the canvas print.

Wow! Hopefully she understands viewing distance issues. If she expects a sharp large format type print for close viewing you could have an issue later.

i'd agree about the canvas !! even then with braces it will be a fragile front
my local printer will do large (6ft canvas printable to 5'10") at roughly 12-16$/sqr ft (12$ in quantity) but unless you can find some one to stretch & ship thst may be a bigger issue ..
might consider mounting/stretching it across a existing 48x72"canvas for better support..
(and yes 2000 minimum 2500 more like it with 20% deposit !!)

I dont think there will be any problems with view size, hopefully... lol. Thanks for all the help. The greatest size locally will get me 40X60, that will be fine with me i suppose...
