Hey guys, can you guys give me an honest opinion of this set. This was a shoot for Ring Rulers held at the West Monroe Convention center in Louisiana. The lighting in the ring was nothing more than the flourecent house lights. I had to use ISO 3200-6400 to get shutter speeds of at least 1/320 so forgive me for the noisy pictures. But then again these are fight pictures and not wedding photos. I think the grain adds to the drama. Any feedback would help. Thanks for looking!

| I think you got some great pics there. I am a fight junkie and would have loved to be in a position to score those captures. B&W and grain work great. You caught some great action, great emotion and some very cool compositions. Nice work indeed. The fighters should be pleased to have those. |

| Way cool! you definitely did a great job with these ... the grain really works well here, along with the b/w choice. #82 is my favorite ... you really captured the essence and emotion of that moment ... |

Hi. My experience with fight pics has shown me just how hard it is to get strong pictures. I work for a newspaper and have covered many similar fights and found like you that I have had to shoot at high asa's. Your fight pics are strong, and capture the essence of the fight.
Two issues: Try to eliminate the background by shooting up their nose or down from a height (of course not always possible and the further your are away from the fight the less light you have to play with) Secondly take plenty of pics. On a typical evening I take more than 1000 pictures and often feel that my strike rate is less than 1 percent. Well done. |

... and you see the ref's arms on either side of the fighters...
