| I am the best man at wedding on July 4th, 2009 in Long Island, NY. The bride and groom live in Phoenix and are having a hard time planning a wedding from across the country, so I thought I would see if there is anyone here who works in this area. Or if anyone can make any recommendations for wedding photographers in that area. Just post your info or website and I will forward it to my friends. I have seen some amazing wedding photography on this site...especially the recent posts by "biteme", which are exquisite, but i don't think she is close enough lol...anyway I'm sure they would love to see what you guys have to offer. |

Do some googling in your area for wedding photogs. Look up the local PPA chapter and ask for recomendations, or the PPA website will have a list, as will WPPI and WPJA. I just happen to have the wppi site open //www.wppionline.com/index.tml .
Attend a bridal show..ok, as a man that's weird, but bring your girlfriend/wife with you - man will you score points if you ask her to go to a bridal show!
Do you know whos paying and what the budget is? Do you know what style of photography they are looking for? Do you know what they want (albums, prints, etc)? That will help narrow the search a bit.

All great questions that I'll pose to them when they wake up this morning! All I know is another friend of mine used a company for his wedding and he was not very pleased. And the consensus is to find an individual photographer who has a passion for the work and has a creative portfolio. Someone who isn't just showing up for work, and could care less about results. |

The wedding's in Long Island.
Juliet lives in Phoenix as do the bride and groom.
I think the OP is looking for photogs that are close to Long Island.
