I'm sure we're going to see some "outside looking in" shots. To me personally, these would fit the challenge criteria. Anyone agree or disagree? Being it's early in the challenge, I think it would be a good time to clear the air, in order that participants can decide on their options and err on the side of caution if need be.

It does say from a window which means that most people, at first reading, will think of inside looking out. But I think you're interpretation of outside looking in is well founded. Although that outside looking in will most likely limit you to working off the ground level, unless you have some hidden Newfoundlander flying or hovering ability that no one knows about

What about shots like this? This is shot from outside looking in, but the subject is looking out?

Would a shower pane be considered a window..I am always looking to stretch the challenge a bit

Sure, I don't see why looking in is any different than looking out, unless the police catch you ;-)

And I am looking forward to all those window shots from those of you in he Amsterdam area ;-)

Hey Eduard,

In the Window View I would give Wooden Lady very high marks.

I wish this challenge came up last month when I was at my parents house. They have the perfect window for photography.

I could have moved some furniture, enhanced the lighting, and really pulled off quite a shot. Sadly, all I have is an out-of-date snapshot.

Anyone know how much it would cost to get a ticket from Washington, DC to Lyon, France before the challenge end?

Windows? Woohoo.

Now who's going to lend me the airfare back to Tunisia?

I wonder how much SC Johnson (makers of Windex) paid to have this challenge posted?

I wonder if the site will be sued by Microsoft, Apple or Xerox?

Hmmm, most likely. From Challenge Details:"...make it obvious it's been taken from a window."

I don't think so as long as you include some or all of the window frame in the shot so the voter knows it's through a window opening. The challenge guidelines say "window glass or frame" not both so I think it's OK.

All I need to see when voting is the window or frame. Who cares if it is in looking out or out looking in. Don't worry about the voters, just go out and take the best window shot ever.

BTW~Great pictures in here!
