Could it be that it's running out of memory?

I'm thinking RAM as well. Some apps have a memory leak so the longer they run the less memory you have. Try closing everything or better yet, rebooting and just opening pro show and try creating the DVD. You'd think you'd get a message telling you you'd run out of memory if that's the case.

Make sure your photos are not too large and that the finished size is NOT larger than your DVD.

What if you create an ISO image instead, and then burn the ISO image to CD? (you need a program that knows how to take an ISO image and recreate the CD contents - I use ROXIO but there are many others)

In case anyone else has the same problem, what did you have to do to fix the problem?

i had to uninstall then reinstall the program with any anti virus, spyware and firewalls
disabled.then i had to re register my codes etc and then i had to install an upgrade(even though i had only downloaded the program a few days before).it now works most of the time
but the program still freezes every now and then.also takes a looooong time (45mins) to burn a dvd.

Only 45 minutes?

How many images and what is the running time of the DVD?

Glad you were able to get things working.

Just an FYI, I had similar problems with ProShow Producer. I NEVER run Producer with my anti-virus running - when working on Producer, I disable the anti-virus until I am through. I was having difficulties with Producer not displaying the files correctly in the time-line (they appeared corrupted), and also with burning DVDs. Since I started the workflow of turning off the antivirus, I have not had any problems with it. My normal burn time for a DVD slideshow with about 200 images and 3 songs is somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes.

it has 833 images,a continuous music loop and whale songs as the background sound.running time is around 18 mins 30 secs.since adding the music loop it now takes over an hour to burn to dvd.is there a quicker way to burn multiple copies?do i have to use proshow to burn
each time or is there a better program?i tried to do multiple copies using pro but true to form the program froze.sorry if im asking basic questions, but im not having much luck with the tutorial section of the program either.
