My boss wants me to record/edit a stat class next semester and I don't know where to start. Just got Master Suite CS3 yesterday and haven't even installed it. Way too many toys for me, but they offered and I excepted. Any Premier gurus out there that can recommend a good start-up book or CD. No need to know the bells and whistles (yet).

If you are recording video you will use Premiere Pro. There is a book called Adobe Premiere Pro Classroom in a book. It's pretty good. If you need a video camera, be careful what kind you get because not all video camera files are good for editing. Stay away from Video cameras that record to Cds. They are really not made for editing.

I use a Sony at work as well. It works good. There is an issue with the sound coming over with the video with the mgeg file into premiere pro. Open and save this link. you will need it later. //premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:Why_is_there_no_audio_in_my_imported_MPEG_file%3F feel free to send me messages when you start your project. Maybe I can save you some of the pain I went through.
