This was DQ'ed which is fine. It's unfortunate I couldn't get more comments on it since that's really what I was hoping for. Why it got DQ'ed is not the question (Been through that)...but is it nice, could it have been a winner, are there parts that take away from the photo? Just looking for comments.

I really like it - gave it an 8 in voting. It's striking, but not sure my interpretation of it is what you intended. To me, the editing creates a feline quality - like she's in transition to becoming a lion or something. Not sure what to read into the expression on her face and there's nothing in the background to help set a mood or tell a story. Personal preference is that, unless the look is out and out glamour, I like a few clues as to the story behind the portrait.

Well, I have to admit that I don't like it at all...
The treatment you gave it is way overdone imo - and the eye on the right (her left) looks very, very strange.
Would probably have given it a 3 or 4...

I left a comment. I found it a bit creepy but like it anyway. Very interesting technique and worth trying again minus what got you DQd. I found it to be very creative and different which made for a refreshing photo.
