Anybody up for a slice of life side challenge?
The idea is to take and post one picture each day for each day in July. The goal is to record something that happens each day and post with why you took the picture or what it means to you.
Suggestions:
1. Step a bit out of your comfort zone - new photographic technique, pp technique, share something important, do a self portrait, take a candid, etc.
2. Keep up on posting and commenting.
3. Record in your comments why you took picture, what it is, how you felt, etc. Even comments such as, "I was tired and bored so here's my boot" tells us something.
4. This isn't about creating a great picture every time but more about exploring yourself and others in the DPC community.
5. When you really, really don't feel like taking a picture: take lenscap off, click, lenscap on. See rule 4.
6. Your spouse and kids make great subjects. If they're not used to it by now, they will be by the end of July!
7. List processing steps if you think others may not know the technique.
8. Boring, mundane, and posting several days at once are allowed.
9. If you can't do every single day post what you have. We're not keeping score.
10. Don't give up if you miss a few days.
Rule:
1. Have fun.
The above suggestions can be revised as necessary.
It's a great chance to learn about ourselves, others, and try new things.
For those who want to play, post here and I'll update the list. I'll create the picture thread at the end of the month.

| I've been addicted to shooting wild flowers lately. This will be a good opportunity to change it up a bit. Will do my best to submit per day. |

Ooooo, I'd like to do this! I haven't been around very long, and am just starting on learning how to create good images...the practice should be good for me!

HEY LISA .. must'v been a typo unless you were just trying to confuse us all .. i cant imagine you lost doing a month of side challenges, but i can imagine you lost NOT doing a month of side challenges, coz i know you're a maniac when it comes to taking photographs ..
9 hours to blast off .. great being an aussie, we get to start early .. !!..:)

See - told you I wasn't myself! Yes you're absolutely RIGHT Roz - I had a month OFF side challenges - GRIN!
But have entered two images in challenges in the last 24 hours so feeling the groove return. 8 hours and 52 minutes! |
