are the results for the challenge up yet? if not then its still out for vote which is why you have no score.

should not talk about what photo is yours before a challenge has ended either...I think that is against the rules or something

what ever happens dont take it personally, even the comments that seem short or perhaps even rude can be learned from

I have had many horrible photos...and many mean sounding comments...but I keep trying and learning. Only thing you can do.

Welcome to DPC Sarah. I hope that you will enjoy many of the features of this site. There are a lot of good people on DPC, and you can learn a lot about photography here.
We are not allowed to talk about a current challenge shot until voting is over.
Some of the comments will not be what you want to hear, but some of the tough ones have made me think again about how I shoot, and what my images will mean to different people all over the world. I believe that score is updated every hour at 10 after the hour for registered users. Members get the addictive and amazing "Update" button so that we can keep up to the second tabs on our scores during the challenges.
Best of luck to you, and with your first DP Challenge.

i have other good pic as well but i cant upload them

Registered users can only enter the "open" challenges, and "exclusive open" means you can enter only one of the ones that is open for submissions. Be sure to read the rules carefully, and be sure that the date and time is set right in your camera as well. See the tutorials and help links for more about how to prepare and size photos to enter.
You can only enter one shot per challenge, which may be why you can not upload more. Also, only users with a paid membership can post a portfolio at DPC.

Where are you looking for your "score"? I can see on your profile page that you have gotten votes and comments on a current challenge.

so iam guessing that i can not see the score because its on voting..but i can see the comments...i was just curious of how this site works

Are you looking on the home page in the upper left corner for your score? Or on the page where you can read comments.

On the page itself you won't see the final score until voting is done. But there on main page you can see it.

Only paid members have portolios with pictures other than their challenge entries. It took me a few months before I wanted to dive into that :)

Good luck.

This is from your profile page:

Votes Received: 122
Avg Vote Received: 4.0902

If this is your first challenge then that is your current score.

A common occurrence. If the image does not clearly convey the challenge topic to the viewer, then you will likely receive lower votes because they feel it does not fit the challenge theme. It is very much a matter of personal interpretation as to what fits. I have sometimes low-voted others for the same reason, and right now one of my entries is getting the same. I do think it fits the challenge, though it is not as obvious a conveyance of the topic as many think it should be. I have learned to interpret the scores and comments however, and I think I've gotten enough high votes to tell me that have a good entry that is simply not fitting many members interpretations.
