So I am considering trying to do something involving lust for the Seven Deadly sins.
I'm 16, and I would most likely grab a friend for my model, who would also be underage.

Where exactly is the line here?
I mean, if you think about Miley Cyrus's (age 15?) pictures for Vanity Fair.. she was obviously naked, but I didn't see anything perverted or inappropriate about it.

Please let me know your opinions.

I personally think 16 year olds have great imaginations for things like lust. Go for it!

You can lust after something that has nothing to do with sex! LOL!

in my opinion as long as its not nude or connotating any sexual behavior it should be ok. Don't limit yourself due to what others think. Sometimes a little contraversy doesnt hurt. Just use good judgement.

That's a hard question to answer...
Being an international site (even though I'm sure that US Americans are in majority) I believe you would get very different answers depending on where in the world people come from and their cultural backgrounds. My advise is to not cross the line (which is very hard to draw) unless you don't care about your score. I believe that no matter how good your pictures is you'll get hammered if you do cross it. That's just the way things work I'm afraid...

All good points.
But also.. it's not going to have a caption screaming "Hey mister! She's 16!"
By this point, we can generally pull off 18-20, especially after editing and whatnot.

Regardless of score concerns, be very aware of the LEGAL ramifications of anything that could be construed as any sort of child pornography for your state and for federal purposes. Be careful. Just sayin'. :)

The big thing is to be aware of child pornography laws where you live.

I'd also contact site council to see if DPC has any rules about this sort of thing, depending on where the server is located they may also be liable if the image crosses the legal line.

The thing with the Miley Cyrus images is that altough she may be nude under the covers they don't actually expose any of her no-no parts.

I would definately stay away from nudity. It is not necessary and can save a lot of grief.

I wish I had an answer for you. I do portraits with for a fair number of teens in the 16-18 range and what is appropriate, and maybe even normal, would have their have their parents rather upset with me. Of course you are young yourself, so as long as you avoid frontal nudity or showing any kind of sexual activity you should be ok.

Don't forget to take a glance at your image views just after this challenge ends. I'm sure it'll spike up pretty high as a result of this thread :)

I would avoid all sexual connotations when it comes to underage persons. Understand that just because he/she doesn't look 16 doesn't change the fact that they are 16. It's important to take a look at what is considered to be too sexual for underage kids. The sad part is, many times you may never know you crossed that line because it can be rather subjective. Nudity will probably be a big problem and could be considered child pornography. But you can also be artistic and cover all parts without it being considered pornorgraphy, but it's a fine line between the two.

So now that i haven't really helped you much.....good luck in coming with an artistic way to show lust or choosing a different sin.

Common sense should be your guide, and if it was borderline enough to ask, you should probably skip it. No challenge is worth a knock at the door from the authorities.

Child Pornography Laws

I found this website and it sounds like as long as nothing is shown it is alright legally. Though I had no intention of showing anything to start with.

I know I can't make everyone happy, but I will keep your guys opinions in mind when I start brainstorming. And hopefully the majority will like the end result.

Watch for it =)

if anyone knows about this I do....

for one of the nude challenges me and my ex gf(she was my gf at the time) decided to do it, completely overlooking that it was still a month or so away from her 18th birthday, So the photo was great, but then some one realized it was my photo and knew i was underage(I'm of age now) and assumed she was too and reported it, so it was deleted and we never spoke of it again. So pretty much you just can't show the actual body parts.

Something like this would be fine:

When middle schoolers are getting busted for sending each other naked pics of themselves and their friends, I'd say be careful.
