Anyone know a good one that might have a trial version? Not Mazika or whatever it is. I DLed the trial & I can;t upload any pictures!

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I've got a program called PhotoSuite 4 Platinum, which takes thousands of photos and comprises a photo tapestry of one key photo that you choose. Up close, it looks like thousands of little photos, but as you move away from the tapestry, you will see the key image. Here's the writeup from their web site:
The Photo Tapestry feature arranges hundreds of small, thumbnail size photos into a tile pattern to form a mosaic of your original photo. In Photo Suite III you could only create tapestries with thumbnail images contained in the database of its CD-ROM. Photo Suite 4 lets you create your own database of thumbnail images, and also provides you with a larger database of Photo Suite thumbnail images to use. In addition, you can secretly add one personal photo to your tapestry.

Definitely try FotoFusion. I recommended it to someone once before who wanted to do mosaics and they loved it.
