Okay this is a bit silly, but a forum is the very place to have silly conversations right?
I posted my opinion of what I felt contrast is in the wrong thread, for that I am eternally sorry. So here is a thread dedicated to what we all think it means, and why we entered our particular piccies into this challenge,

sorry to the hardline forum police....I won't do it again I pwomise :0

BTW I entered my shot because I felt there was good contrast between hard and soft. And it's a pretty picture, and I am new to all this and didn't get the politics, I do now tho, so I have learned something at least.

LOL

Contrast between subjects, elements etc IS a valid take on the challenge. However, our voters are looking for visual contrast. (I.e. like light and dark). When we revisit challenge topics its a good idea to check past stuff for ideas on what the voters are looking for. However, past incarnations of this challenge topic also had a rather heated debate on what met the challenge. Usually with challenges that are technical in nature they are pretty cut and dry for interpretation. Strangely this one isn't.

yeah but that's a really messy thread, with lots of bitchin, so I thought I'd start a nice fresh one, lol, it can end here, no problem, I just thought it was sensible to move this talk away from the score thread. I do read old threads but many of them degenerate into incomprehensible silliness so I get taken away from the reason I began reading them. :)

I would like to clarify that I am intelligent enough to know the definition of contrast, what I meant was that I interpreted high contrast wrongly for this challenge, I see that now, I mistakenly thought that by submitting a shot that I love, everyone else would too....roflmao.... thats narcisism for ya, j/k
