I just got some extension tubes for my Nikon, and really really want a macro lens. But for now, I'm trying to see if I can get along with just the tubes.
So my goal this month is a macro a day, to see how I can do. Anyone else care to join in?
I think we can keep this open without a sign-in list. But please try to comment on others shots as well as posting your own. And be considerate but honest in your posts. The aim for this challenge is shoot and learn.
We're late starting, so here's my first.

I will join in when I can, as I love macros.
I am going away tomorrow for five days, but I will definitely be part of this June side challenge, as soon as I get back.

Anyone can participate. All we ask is that you comment on others shots as well as post.
Can I also request that people try to critically comment as well. Most of us are trying to improve (some don't need to). I suggest, if you will, that you have two sections in your comments--they don't have to be long.
Aesthetics: What most people are writing now.
Crit. Analysis: Something that can be improved, if anything.
If you don't want any critical comments, just leave a note in your comment section "Aesthetics only". (Otherwise, you will get them, at least from me.)
Hope that's not to presumptive of me.
Here's my Day 2. You can practice being critical on me :)

I am leaving today for Melbourne, and will be away for 6 days, to visit our grandsons and family. Catch up with you all when I get back. Take plenty of macros while I am away, and I will comment on them when I return.

So I will dip into this one from time to time. Travel schedule won't allow me to take shots daily, so I'll aim for as many as possible.

This one is with my 18-200 by itself. It actually has pretty good closeup capabilities at 200mm. Still my favorite lens ever (except maybe for my old 10-22 on my Canon):
Mostly Lightroom processing, but I wasn't quite satisfied with the contrast, so I did a quick couple of things in PS:
(The interesting thing about LR is that there's a clarify slider, and you can use it in reverse to soften; but it does hurt contrast a bit, hence my secondary processing.)
